Welcome.
If you are on this page, you are likely dealing with challenges that are keeping you
from feeling content, balanced and in control. Maybe you are faced with a difficult
situation, an unexpected event in your life, or perhaps you have been struggling with
anxiety and depression for years.
Starting therapy can be a daunting decision. It takes courage to take the first step and seek help. Together, we can identify what is keeping you from feeling confident, competent, and in charge of your life, and help you take steps toward being the best version of yourself.
I work with adults ages 18 to 80 who are dealing with recent and ongoing stressful situations, such as life transitions, grief, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I have extensive experience in treating anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorders. I also work with clients who are coping with the loss of their companion animals.
My approach is collaborative, solution-focused, and strength-based. I help clients gain new perspectives on their difficulties, and tap into their inner resources and strengths to best manage life's challenges. Clients can expect to learn tools to manage stress and inner conflict, so that they are able to feel at peace and find joy in their lives.
I offer remote therapy via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, making it easy to access care from anywhere in California, including the Los Angeles area.
Areas of Focus
In my practice, I provide online therapy across California for a range of concerns. Each area below has a dedicated page with more detail.
Anxiety and Trauma
Treatment for generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic disorder, as well as traumatic experiences, using cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-informed approaches for managing both current symptoms and the patterns that maintain them.
Depression and Bipolar Disorder
Evidence-based therapy for mood disorders across the spectrum, from situational depression to major depressive disorder and bipolar I and bipolar II disorders. Care is coordinated with prescribing psychiatrists when medication is part of treatment.
Stress and Life Transitions
Support for significant life transitions, including divorce, medical illnesses, relational and familial conflict, caregiving, and other overwhelming challenges.
Grief and Loss
Support through bereavement, divorce, miscarriage, estrangement, loss of health, and major life transitions. Space to grieve fully and to work through what feels stuck, including complicated grief.
Loss of a Pet
Compassionate therapy for the death of a companion animal, including support around end-of-life decisions, guilt, sadness, and the disenfranchised nature of pet grief.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I am a private pay provider and do not accept insurance. At your request, I
can provide a superbill — an itemized list of services — that you can
submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. You can review
my therapy fees for full details.
How does online therapy work in California?
All sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Treatment
can be provided to you, as long as you are physically located in California at the
time of the session, whether you are in Los Angeles, San Diego, the Bay Area, or
anywhere else in the state. Research consistently shows that online therapy
produces outcomes comparable to in-person treatment for most clients.
How much does therapy cost?
Sessions are $250 for 50 minutes. As a private pay therapy provider, I do not
contract with insurance companies, but I provide superbills on client request for
potential out-of-network reimbursement. Please see the fees
page for full details.
Can I work with you if I live outside Los Angeles?
Yes. I provide therapy by video to adults anywhere in California. While my practice
is based in the greater Los Angeles area, clients located anywhere across the state
meet with me through secure online sessions.
How do I get started?
I offer a free 10-minute phone consultation so we can talk briefly about your
presenting situation and needs, and whether I am the right fit. You can
schedule a consultation by phone or email.
